Drogheda Institute of Further Education offers a diverse range of full-time courses. There are 55 courses available at Level 5 and Level 6 on the NFQ (National Framework of Qualifications) at the college. These are offered through the following departments..

• Business Humanities & IT
• Sports, Leisure & Tourism
• Applied Science
• Community & HealthCare

All QQI accredited courses have excellent pathways to both Higher Education and/or employment. Learners can progress to Higher Education through the Higher Education Links Scheme (HELS) with places reserved for FET learners in Universities and Institutes of Technology. In addition, DIFE has developed significant direct progression links with Higher Education providers in Ireland, UK and in Europe. Many of the courses offered are also employment focused for learners who are looking to gain industry recognised qualifications in a short course and progress directly to employment (For example childcare, healthcare, beauty therapy, hairdressing, pharmacy, animal care, dental nursing, health and fitness sectors).
